Acne – 5 Proper Treatments From Medical Experts

prt030Some people disregard May acne and think like a painful passage of youth, but what most people fail to take into consideration is the fact that this is a serious skin disorder. If not held in check with drugs, it can be life a struggle that will eventually scar you for life.

Acne is thought to be caused by hormones usually released in large quantities over a person of adolescence. Hormones such as testosterone can cause the sebaceous glands to produce high levels of oil in the face and body and the combination with dead skin cells, resulting in clogged pores. Although some people blame the food and hygiene as acne guilty, they have not been proven to be the direct cause of acne.




They may, however, aggravate acne. Acne can occur in both young and the elderly and the most important thing to consider is that it can be treated or at least controlled. Medical experts gave several tips on the treatment of acne to prevent its prolonged attack and effectively put under control.

1. Nip acne in the bud. Mild acne can be in the form of small buttons, which often look like eruptions from afar. It is a sign that you develop acne. Clean you face every day and make it a regular habit. Use a mild soap, something which is non-comedogenic or allergy-tested. Some doctors prescribe baby soap or a mild soap such as Dove. You can apply over-the-counter ointments or of benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid to dry up the button. Use them only on the affected area. If you need to wear makeup, choose non-comedogenic (will not clog pores) and be sure to take them off when you get home.

2. To begin treatment if your acne is already in its phase moderate. Using more aggressive products such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and retinoids. You can also use the therapy prescribed as a treatment with laser or chemical peels. The combination treatment may be more effective.

3. Preventing scars. Never take your buttons. Do not pop, and if you need it, ask for a vocational training or your dermatologist to remove cysts and large buttons. Antibiotics can also help with the healing process although you need your doctor’s permission to go ahead with antibiotic treatment. Scars from acne for some people is worse than the acne itself.

4. Consult a doctor as soon as possible. In the first symptom of acne, consult a doctor. Home treatments May resorting to qualified doctors but they can prepare themselves for medical treatment and you can check your progress of acne. If your acne requires injections of corticosteroids or cyst drainage, your doctor can do.

5. Keep it simple. Food and lifestyle might not be direct causes for acne, however, they can make the situation worse. Reduce the use of makeup and products on your face. Eat more fruits and vegetables and avoiding fatty fast food. Refrain from smoking and keep your stress level to a minimum.
